WHY IS IT NECESSARY ?
Plaque is the sticky layer which constantly forms on your teeth. The plaque should be cleaned daily with Flossing and Brushing. When this plaque sits for a long time on your teeth without being washed away it forms a layer called tartar. Once it forms you cannot clean it with regular brushing. Professional Scaling is only the rescue at this stage.
HOW WE DO IT ?
Ultrasonic scalers are widely used in the scaling procedure. The tip of the ultrasonic scalervibrates at a very fast rate and removes the tartar and stains from the outer surface of the tooth.
